About the Creative Artist:
This large metal elephant sculpture was made by a Lebanese artist, Nadim Karam. The artist born in 1957 is a multidisciplinary Lebanese artist and architect. He uses his formal vocabulary to tell stories in urban settings and to evoke collective memory in a very particular whimsical and often absurd way. As they parade, they evoke eternity and ephemeral time, and the people, plants, and creatures that pass by – the richness of life forms. Each fragment brings its unique character, be it fascinating, symbolic, mischievous, or contemplative, to its context. Karam calls them toys; experimenting with different sizes, textures, and materials to create a range of small, medium, and large sculptures.
