Show the Process of Making a Stainless Steel Tree Sculpture

Customizing a stainless steel tree sculpture is roughly divided into five processes. Today we would introduce you the general process of making our metal tree sculpture.

Step 1: Make a 3D Model and Print the Model

In this step, we would communicate with you about the size and design of the stainless steel tree sculpture, and customize the sculpture design that best meets your expectations.

Step 2: Cutting Stainless Steel Sheet and Forging Stainless Steel Sheet Shape

This step is to cut out a stainless steel plate of suitable size according to the model before the modern stainless steel tree sculpture. YouFine’s stainless steel sculpture generally requires 304 stainless steel, and also uses 316 plate for customers with high requirements. Then according to the shape of modern metal sculpture, the stainless steel sheet cut in the second step is forged into a suitable arc. According to the design and different shapes of each part of the model, the material is discharged and consciously beat according to its fluctuation. The bend is curved and the edge is played. It could be done on any tangible and sturdy object. Knock, and then take the knocked stainless steel plate to the mold for comparison, and think that the shape is correct and could be completely closed with the model.

Step 3: Soldering Together

Paste the stainless steel sheet successfully forged in the second step on the model of this stainless steel tree. The texture effect of the surface of each stainless steel plate must be consistent, and it must be forged at the same time as forming. You could also forge the dots before cutting. When forging acupoints, use a round head hammer to forge evenly and regularly into rows, with equal width and narrow spacing, and use equal force. After the shape is correctly forged, it must be welded together according to the job requirements (there are electric welding and argon arc welding). In this step, YouFine uses spot welding to determine the general shape of the sculpture. After the prototype is determined, we would use the all-welding method to weld each welded joint tightly.

Step 4: Surface Treatment of Stainless Steel Sculpture:

After welding, the surface of the sculpture should be polished. For stainless steel polishing. First, use a grinding wheel to sand down the weld and excess areas of the workpiece. Then use a soft wheel (cloth wheel) for polishing. People have good visual aesthetics. After polishing, the surface of the sculpture would be treated according to the client’s needs. Generally, there are various surface treatment methods such as high polishing, matte, wire drawing, painting, sputtering, and electroplating to choose from. In the design of this stainless steel tree sculpture, what our client needs is a high polished finish. So the surface of our stainless steel tree sculpture is only polished.

Step 5: Add Some Design Details

In this step, we would weld some branches and leaves to the trunk.

A beautiful modern stainless steel tree sculpture is complete.
